Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) is a specialized institute with focus on digital archiving and transaction practices. Mikkeli UAS uses Profium Sense Digital Asset Management (DAM) for digital archiving.

MUAS manages customer specific multimedia contents with semantic capabilities for all different content types. All archived objects have their properties encoded in RDF data model and queries are expressed in SPARQL while the end-users access the archives with Web based intefaces, which expose the ontological terms for both annotation and discovery.
