Content Based Routing
Profium Sense™ supports Content Based Routing (CBR) by allowing you or your customers to reliably and quickly receive the content they are interested in.
Profium Sense provides a graphical user interface for editing routing rules. This results in highly expressive semantic queries for filtering the relevant content from real-time data streams such as news and trading information.
Example: A news agency creates customized routing rules, so the customer receives only the news he or she is interested in, and in the way he or she wants to receive it. These routing rules are based on the common concepts of the news with certain metadata or metadata deduced from a certain ontology namely categories of contents and their relations
Technology of Content Based Routing
Profium Sense™ Content Based Routing (CBR) extends the core capabilities of Sense with dedicated user interfaces to configure customer interests. These interfaces hide the SPARQL query language syntax from business users and allow efficient maintenance of the customer profiles in a Web environment.
Content Based Routing supports transcoding at delivery, which means matching content can be delivered forward in a different format than used internally by the application. In addition, Content Based Routing has support for several delivery protocols such as HTTP, SOAP, FTP, AMQP and SMTP.
Content Based Routing for media sector customers is preconfigured with NewsML G2 schemas and necessary metadata mappings to and from several other formats such as NewsML 1.2 and IPTC7901.
