Profium Digital Archive supports the creative commons licensing model in content sharing. Users can select an appropriate creative commons license and the system includes information about this into the content displays, together with cc-license code supported by search engines. “This helps in the usage rights questions, especially in systems which are publicly available”, says product manager Jari Harjula from Profium. “Customers willing to share digital content publicly can utilize our product in licensing knowing that the license terms are creative commons compliant. Additionally, finding such content becomes easier because there are search engines supporting cc-license searches available.”
