Profium announced today support for developing Linked Data services with the help of Profium Metadata Server. Profium Metadata Server now ships with Linked Data access layer allowing clients from several platforms (other server applications, thin and fat clients) with various implementation techniques to make efficient use of both content and metadata stored in Metadata Server. This access layer adds to the open interfaces already present in Profium software by allowing both HTTP based retrieval of content and metadata from the same URI address.

Profium observes the keen interest public sector organizations and big enterprises have in linking the information created in place in new contexts. This allows Profium customers to find cost savings when same information only needs to be maintained in one place and used in many.
