Vantaa City Museum collects objects related to the past and present of Vantaa. It studies and maintains records, items and photo-archive of the history and cultural heritage of Vantaa. The museum has about 20.000 items on its collection and the photographic archive contains 80.000 images about the development of Vantaa since the end of 1800.

Profium provides their Collection Management System, which is a preconfigured application of Profium Sense™ Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution. It enables for example automatic collection of technical image metadata from the imported files. Profium Collection Management provides a uniform solution for storing the image collections and for the management of item collections and cultural heritage data with geosemantic extensions. Role based access control enables flexible co-operation of different type of workers.

Sense utilizes semantic web technology for enhancing the search on concepts of the Finnish General Upper Ontologies Finto, YSO and KOKO. The Collection Management System is also integrated to both the  long term archival service, The National Digital Library (KDK) and Finna.fi search service with the help of OAI-PMH  technology.

Profium Sense™ is in use also in Museum centre Vapriikki / Tampere, City Museum of Espoo and in City of Jyväskylä. Also Finnish Orthodox Church manages their collections with Sense.
